Today my friend and I were talking to a woman who had been married 20 years. She was asking my friend if she thought her parents were still in love and she said she didn’t know really. She then told the woman that she could tell she was in love with her husband and how obvious it was. The woman’s response really stuck with me. She said, “It’s because we’re best friends. I married my best friend and that’s something important because its not just about being lovers but also friends.” I couldn’t agree more. I think a marriage needs to be fueled on love but also the best friendship you can have. I’m excited for my future with my best friend and I can’t wait for that moment.

My birthday is in exactly one week. The big 21. i wanted to do something super fun for my birthday. Not that I haven’t had great birthdays in the past, but they haven’t been memorable really. You’re supposed to feel really special on your birthday right? That’s what I want this year. This is a big number. I feel it officially makes me an “adult”. I wanted this birthday to be really special and do something that I will remember forever. None of that for me meant partying. But I wanted to do something really fun and carefree. But, I don’t think that is going to happen. Both of my parents won’t be here & I can’t spend it with my boyfriend. The only person that will be here is my sister. That’s not really how I wanted to spend it because that’s pretty much how it was last year. Not that I don’t love my sister, I do, I just kind of wanted this birthday to be different than any other and it kind of makes me sad other people I care about won’t be there to spend it with me. 

Since it’s finals week I’m going to rant a little bit.

Cool you have no finals, you don’t have to brag about it. 

I,however, have four so when I’m trying to study could you please not play your music as loud as you can.

Also that goes for when I am trying to nap.

Sorry everyone is so busy studying they can’t hang out with you. (yes this was an actual complaint). It’s called FINALS WEEK.

& No I don’t care about your boy drama. 

Rant over. Now to study for my 16 chapter cumulative final. Yay..
